Cheapest vs. The Most Expensive Cruise Available Today on CruiseSheet.com
Navigating Extremes: Today's Cheapest vs. Most Expensive Cruise on CruiseSheet.com
This is Sailor Taylor for CruiseSheet.com, and I thought it would be fun to compare the most expensive cruise in the world, to the cheapest cruise available.
The cheapest is a one-night cruise from Marseille, France to Genoa, Italy in the Mediterranean Sea on the MSC Poesia for $89 inside cabin. It departs on December 15th of 2024 and already, all of the suites -- the most expensive room class, are sold out! Yikes! I feel as though a one-night cruise would be better as a bus ride or a car trip than a cruise on the ocean. What am I missing? Doesn't a single-night cruise sort of defeat the purpose of a cruise in general?
The most expensive cruise on our webiste is a 133-day around-the-world cruise for $57,629, in a suite onboard The Holland America Volendam. The cruise departs from Fort Lauderdale Florida and returns to that same port. It departs January 5th, of 2025, and already all of the balcony rooms are sold out!
For a cool $57,629 you can enjoy your beautiful and spacious room, or you could buy a new car! Or a house in some parts of the world or the United States. But while I'm making a little bit of fun about the big cost of an onboard suite on the most expensive cruise available right now, it's still an incredible deal with you think about the fact that it costs barely $433 per day to travel around the world! You cannot get a hotel room in NYC for $400 a night! And this hotel room moves and each morning you awake in a new city! According to several sources, the average cost per day of a room in a nursing home is $300 dollars a day. For an extra $100 a day, you can send Mom or Dad or both of them on a luxury cruise around the world!
That same cruise has available interior or inside cabins for just $29,629 or just $222.77 per day!
So, an overnight cruise from France to Italy for less money than a typical family spends at an Italian restaurant, or an around the world 133 day cruise for less than a nursing home stay, or a Honda Civic, or a Rolex watch. You choose. The links are below in our description.
